Got a call about 7am this morning from the boss, asking if I would cover a shift for a regular caregiver, 8am-4pm up in Boulder City. I was half asleep but I accepted the job! I can't go into details on the job, but it went pretty good, and I'm glad I've finished my first day! I'm a little worried about how my back will survive this kind of work, as it's been getting sluggish the past few years and today it's aching pretty bad. I'm trying to remember GOOD BODY POSTURE!
I left the clients 2 hours early and ran by Walmart to get new scrubs, came home and have been tidying up the house. I'm about to work on some boy scout stuff, and I'm anxious to get back to the gym today! I'm doing 6 days on, 1 day off (Sundays) as I have a client that day as well. Who would've thought I would WANT to go to the gym? But I do, and I miss it. So I'm excited to get back there tonight.
Don't know what tomorrow will bring and if I'll have to go back to that same clients, but I'm glad I got started today, and I'm hoping that I can find the perfect client(s) that I can get into a routine with, that is what I most want from this career.
Meantime, I have to get my insurance figured out so I can get to the doctor FAST and get my back checked out, because if this is a job that I can't do because of the constant pain, I'm going to be really bummed! :(
So much to do, so little time..Just need to prioritize it all!!
P.S. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! (Beautiful weather and views!!)
